E of Infared Music Speaks on Yung Berg Interview

A few hours after I posted the Yung Berg interview on Friday, I received a phone call from E over at Infared Music, who needless to say, was a bit unhappy with the comments Yung Berg shot his way. (re: “what happened was the CEO of the company tried to put his hands on me on some bullshit or whatever”).

E released the following statement:

First of all, putting my hands on him? Like it’s Chris Stokes and Raz B of B2K or something? That’s the funny thing about it. The kid thinks he’s doing better than what he is, like he has plaques on his walls? It ain’t about who’s out of the gate first, it’s about who wins the race. So right now, he has ain’t sold no records or proved himself in the industry. As far as his credibility, he has none. The kid has been rotten since the time I’ve known him. He’s always had a drug issue. When I received the kid he was a run away, and I took him back to his father and we stopped the kids from beating him up real bad. He even said it in the interview, that we’re from the streets, and from us being from the streets, you have to be careful what you say. But we’re not worried about him, he has no identity. No one in Chicago wears that stuff in their mouth, I can’t think of what it is, the stuff they do down South – grills and shit like that. That’s not what Chicago people do.

Lil Bow Wow had a problem with him and beat him up, down in Atlanta. He made quotes about Flo Rida – Briscoe and them boys said he can’t come back down to Miami. How many places is this kid gonna be barred from? I think he’s been listening to 50 Cent and trying to take his identity. I know that he’s a drug addict and sooner or later and he’s going to self explode, and by the time he does that, L.E.P. will be poppin again.

Ask any DJ or promoter in Chicago and they’ll tell you that L.E.P. is what’s poppin in the streets. Yung Berg doesn’t represent Chicago, you probably have more people embarrassed by him than actually listen to him. No matter how many songs he makes, he’ll never be looked at as anything different as the guy who made “Sexy Lady”. If he wasn’t on the song with Ray-J right now he would have been dropped. He came out with “Do That There’, so we went and shot the video with him, and then dissed him on the same night. He’s not a humble person. Keep talking all you want Berg, and we’ll see you at the top, if you’re still there once we get there, baby.

L.E.P./Bogus Boyz.
