Skooda Chose feat. Ludacris- "I'm Back" (Freestlye)

| July 12, 2008 | 0 Comments

Get Money Gang’s youngest in charge hits us with another track from his upcoming Green Lantern-hosted mixtape, Top 5 Material

Apparently, Chris Bridges heard Skooda’s rendition of Saigon’s “Come on Baby”, and liked it so much he decided to drop the intro for it.  That’s what’s up.

Reno Chinati feat. Yung Berg – "Shelltoes"

| July 11, 2008 | 0 Comments

Something new from the homie, Reno Chinati. Here he teamed up with the Yung’in to create “Shelltoes”. I heard this yesterday and had to ask Reno for an official FSD copy.

Speaking of Berg, it appears he’s come under fire (again) around the internets for some disparaging comments he made about his distaste for “dark butts”. First sandwiches, now dark-skinned ladies? He just can’t escape that cloak of controversy!!

Mick Luter – “Like Me”, The Lesson Mixtape Tracklist

| July 11, 2008 | 0 Comments

Good news: Mick Luter’s The Lesson mixtape is done, pressed up and ready for distribution. It will even be available at various locations around the city sometime this afternoon (PHLI, Leaders, Succezz, Solemates, St. Alfreds, Ibiza, Revolver Records, Gramaphone Records, Great Scott Records, The Bassment & Dr. Wax!). You can also purchase a copy online ($5 is a small price to pay for greatness) starting Monday as well.

Eugene was nice enough to share a track from the mixtape, where Mick goes in over Fiddy’s “You Not Like Me”, to let you know what to expect.

And for all of you readers outside of the Chicagoland area, do yourself a favor and stop sleeping on Mick!

Related: Don’t forget that Mick is throwing his album release party on Sunday, July 20th at Sub-T with performances from him and Mikkey Halsted. You’re not going to want to miss this show. I will most definitely be in attendance, so make sure you come out to say what’s up and support for the home team!

FSD Site News

| July 11, 2008 | 0 Comments

If you’ve been coming to the site over the past few weeks (Thank You!), you’ve probably noticed a few changes have been made here and there. Welp, we’ve officially relaunched FSD with our new design, logo and layout. The .blogspot is now gone (super official now), and the overall feel is much cleaner and user-friendly (if that was possible).

What does everyone think? Dope or Dog Food? Any suggestions? Huffs? Kudos?

Thanks to smokeYYY, of That Real Ish fame, the teenage prodigy from the UK, for hooking everything up and dealing with my ridiculous requests. He actually deserves all the praise for this.

Also, thanks to the readers and haters who keep coming back everyday and supporting the site.

Go Getters – "Mind Your Business"

What, did you guys think I was done posting tracks from the Go Getters, World Record Holders album? Not a chance. I bet you thought I’d already shot my proverbial wad, huh?

I still have a few more. We’re not done. No, we’re NOT DONE. You must learn.

Lungz – "The Introduction"

| July 10, 2008 | 0 Comments

The kid Lungz is back with another sneak peak from his latest endeavor, the Breath of Fresh Air mixtape, which will drops (via the internets) on Monday.  So now everyone can stop emailing me about it and get their calendars together.
I just got a sneak peak and it’s definitely on point – Lungz is coming with it this go ’round.

Payroll – "Live from the Chi" (Prod. by Kanye West)

| July 10, 2008 | 0 Comments

Here’s another rare and hard-to-find Payroll collaboration with Kanye West, before their whole falling out.  Kanye’s production on this one is definitely on some “Jigga What, Jigga Who” type of steez.  So be it.  I mess with it.

Video: Renaissance – "I'm What It Iz"

| July 10, 2008 | 0 Comments

Impakt Studios – the guys behind Lupe Fiasco’s “Kick, Push” video, and the Omen joint I posted the other day, just hit me with a new video they put together for Universal Music Group recording artist, Renaissance.  Apparently, there’s a cameo from “Prototype”of Flavor of Love fame – although I have absolutely no clue who or what a Prototype is (uh…No 3 Stacks).
