Speaking of Berg, it appears he’s come under fire (again) around the internets for some disparaging comments he made about his distaste for “dark butts”. First sandwiches, now dark-skinned ladies? He just can’t escape that cloak of controversy!!
Reno Chinati feat. Yung Berg – “Shelltoes”
Good news: Mick Luter’s The Lesson mixtape is done, pressed up and ready for distribution. It will even be available at various locations around the city sometime this afternoon (PHLI, Leaders, Succezz, Solemates, St. Alfreds, Ibiza, Revolver Records, Gramaphone Records, Great Scott Records, The Bassment & Dr. Wax!). You can also purchase a copy online ($5 is a small price to pay for greatness) starting Monday as well.
Eugene was nice enough to share a track from the mixtape, where Mick goes in over Fiddy’s “You Not Like Me”, to let you know what to expect.
And for all of you readers outside of the Chicagoland area, do yourself a favor and stop sleeping on Mick!
Mick Luter – “Like Me”
Related: Don’t forget that Mick is throwing his album release party on Sunday, July 20th at Sub-T with performances from him and Mikkey Halsted. You’re not going to want to miss this show. I will most definitely be in attendance, so make sure you come out to say what’s up and support for the home team!
If you’ve been coming to the site over the past few weeks (Thank You!), you’ve probably noticed a few changes have been made here and there. Welp, we’ve officially relaunched FSD with our new design, logo and layout. The .blogspot is now gone (super official now), and the overall feel is much cleaner and user-friendly (if that was possible).
What does everyone think? Dope or Dog Food? Any suggestions? Huffs? Kudos?
Also, thanks to the readers and haters who keep coming back everyday and supporting the site.
I still have a few more. We’re not done. No, we’re NOT DONE. You must learn.
Go Getters – “Mind Your Business”
Here’s another rare and hard-to-find Payroll collaboration with Kanye West, before their whole falling out. Kanye’s production on this one is definitely on some “Jigga What, Jigga Who” type of steez. So be it. I mess with it.
Impakt Studios – the guys behind Lupe Fiasco’s “Kick, Push” video, and the Omen joint I posted the other day, just hit me with a new video they put together for Universal Music Group recording artist, Renaissance. Apparently, there’s a cameo from “Prototype”of Flavor of Love fame – although I have absolutely no clue who or what a Prototype is (uh…No 3 Stacks).
