New Music Tuesday: Osay

New Music Tuesday returns after a brief hiatus last week.  Sorry, that Prometheus guy really threw me off my game, so I may include two new artists today just off GP.  We’ll see.  Anyway, let’s get into it.

Osay writes:
“Osay is an upcoming Chicago area artist who is ready to leave his mark in the game. Osay was born in East Nashville, Tennesseen where he spent his early years before relocating to the south burbs of Chicago. He is inspired by a wide variety of artist such as Big L, Erykah Badu, Marvin Gaye, Maze, & Bob Marley. Osay is not a rapper but an artist who loves all forms of music and also plays various musical instruments. Osay has receieved a slight buzz from his
first single, the Chicago influenced track “Bend Yo Back Low”, which is still getting attention after a year of being released.Osay has recently released a free 18 track mixtape entitled Haters Get Lost Vol. 1 “Self Motivation” which features Lungz, E-Money, Coastboi and others.
The mixtape can be downloaded at http://www. myspace. com/osay. Be on the look for Osay’s next official single along with future projects.”

Twista & The Legendary Traxster to Reunite for Upcoming Twista Album

Yes, you read the above headline correctly. I just spoke with Traxster and Twista directly, who called to inform me they are currently working on a full-length album together. That’s right, the world can now rejoice as Traxster is set to produce Twista’s upcoming album in its ENTIRETY. I know people have been waiting many, many years for these two to get back together, so this is definitely big news for die hard fans of both parties. They are scheduled to hit the lab next week to break ground on the project.

In other Traxster news: The Legendary one just secured two separate digital deals for his upcoming releases. The first is with World Wide Digital and the other is with Digital and World Wide Retail. Do or Die’s Trunk Music has been pushed back until 11/3/08 in order to accommodate the new systems.
