I was in the studio with Versatile and the Family Business crew (what up TL?), Mikkey Halsted, J. Ivy and Ruben the other night and there was some serious material being churned out.  Verse has some heat in the stash, so to speak.  Here’s one of his latest…

Okay, I see what’s going on here.  The Twista Presents: Get Money Gang – We Got Next compilation drops on November 11th, so they’re doing a full-scale media attack as we speak (I get that we aren’t really speaking, but you get the idea).  You can purchase the album at all the major retail outlets, and of course, iTunes on said date.  Here’s a little something to hold you over until then.

Not sure if this is official or not, but I’m not going to waste time speculating  Funny thing is, I was just remarking to someone the other day that this beat was something I could envision Twista murking….well, here you go.

If you’re familiar with the site, then you’re obviously familiar with the party for GLC’s I Ain’t Even On Yet mixtape that went down on Monday night at CRC Studios here in Chicago.  Too many people were in attendance to name them all, but RubyHornet,, and Marc Moran (Tone Doc himself!) were all in attendance covering the event, and have content on their respective sites as well.  Here are some pics from GL’s personal photographer to give you an idea of what took place.  Don’t forget to download the official mixtape while you’re at it.

MarVo – "Countdown"

| October 29, 2008 | 0 Comments

Some more Vo for you on this chilly Chicago Wednesday.

Anyhoo, word on the street is that MarVo had another strong run down in Atlanta for the Tag Records competition. Apparently, he had the likes of Jermaine Dupri and the rest of the crowd chanting “Vo, Vo, Vo” by the time he got off stage.  Don Cannon, who just so happened to be DJin’g the event, also produced “Just A Dream” for MarVo (peep Da Visionaryz directed clip here). Look for some video of the Tag event coming soon.
