Wow, now this looks official. Really Doe’s album, First Impressions drops on August 18th, on Cartel Records/G.O.O.D. Music. The video for “Mesmerized” drops on August 1st, and the full track should be leaking any day now. You can hear a few seconds of “Mesmerized” in the clip as well – definitely not what I was expecting, but I’m more than looking forward to it.
Big things, Doe.
The Honorable Pimpin’ hooked up with Cory Mo and Mistah Fab the other day at Cory Mo’s M.A.D. Studio in Decatur, GA and decided to let the pimpin’ commence on this track.
I’m being told this will be featured on all of their upcoming mixtapes. More music from GLC’s Respect My Come Up will be dropping very, very soon.

This track is brought to you by The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, which is a marketing collective that you will be hearing a lot more about in the very near future. Trust me.
Here Dave Coresh hooks up with two of Northwestern University’s best MC/students J-Loonz and 3-D.

Curren$y was in the Chi over the weekend for Dub Frequency and Ruby Hornet’s Dimes & Dozens show at Debonair Social Club (Gowhere has footage). After the show he hit Soundscape Studios as part of a new series they’re doing with Ruby Hornet:
After rocking the stage at our Dimes and Dozens party (co-presented by dubFrequency) Curren$y went into SoundScape Studios with us for a closed session. We turned the lights down, played some beats, rolled a little something up, and let the creativity fly. Rocking over original production courtesy of Tony Baines, Curren$y created “Rapper Weed”, a mellow joint about, well, mellow joints. Download it free below, and tell a friend to tell a friend. Also look for more RH x SoundScape releases in the future, and video from Dimes and Dozens coming later today.

I know a lot of people aren’t going to be happy to hear this, but today MCA of the Beastie Boys announced that he has cancer and the Boys have canceled their two upcoming showdates in Chicago, including Lollapalooza and the Congress Theatre date.
I wish MCA all the best with his treatment. Cancer is a bitch.
Finally something new from Kid Sis. I was wondering where she’s been as of late. Welp, Fools Good has the scoop:
“Right Hand Hi” is the latest single off her debut LP, now called Ultraviolet and out October 6th on Downtown / Fool’s Gold. It’s produced by Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello of Swedish House Mafia and it BUMPS.
Check it out the exclusive stream on Kid Sister’s MySpace page, will be up here and elsewhere very soon.
