Here’s a nice little treat courtesy of Cayex Illah a.k.a. The Centipede a.k.a Radio Illah (Illah).
This version of Mikkey’s “Lifetime In Between The Papers Line”, was the original version cut for the Best You nEver Heard mixtape, but was later switched in lieu of an alternate Cayex version.
I like them both, but I’m kinda partial to this one as it was the first one I’d ever heard. I’ll take them both, though. Judge for yourself.

You can take it how you wanna take it homie…
Gibbs gets down with YRB TV for a quick interview to discuss a few topics:
Last week we threw up some footage of Freddie performing on a rooftop in BK. In part two of our Freddie feature, Gangsta Gibbs talks about surviving between label deals, how Just Blaze changed the way he raps and GQ’s claim that Wale, Drake and Kid Cudi killed gangster rap.
Also, be sure to tune into Tony Touch’s Toca Tuesdays tonight on Shade 45, where he’ll be running “On My Own”, featuring Freddie Gibbs & Mikkey Halsted, produced by Maja 7th live on the air.
Here we have the brand new mixtape from DTP/Def Jam artist’s BXC, which features Ludacris.
Dogs off the leash!
The heat from the streets and the strength of the windy city brings a duo from the south side of Chicago out to play NO GAMES… “BXC” has brought together “Lyriq” (born Alexander Cottrell) and “Commando” (born Willie Stansfield) to bleed the lyrics that describe the lives that many have lived with an injection of a unique expression of Hip Hop and high powered beats that the industry has missed for a very long time. Anyone who witnesses the duo’s electrifying performance and intense lyrical messages will feel the impact of their emotion, which sends the crowd into a frenzy every time! Flowing off of the inspirations of Tupac, NWA, OutKast and Ludacris they show their respect to the fulliest in the heat that they record in the booth and the animated performance that they give on the stage! Signed by Ludacris to DTP (Disturbing Tha Peace) 2007 then to Def Jam Records 2009… BXC has proven to be ready to make an impact on the industry and move the crowd with the union of music and real life situations! In BXC’s short time on the music scene they’ve worked with Twista, Shawnna, T Pain, Willie (Day 26), Bobby Valentino, the J.U.S.T.I.C.E League, 9th Wonder, the Honorable C-Note, Kenjo, LT Moe and DJ Pharris. The duo has also been featured on Ludacris’, “The Preview” Gangsta Grillz Mixtape w/ DJ Drama with a track entitled “Get up Get Out”… B.X.C teamed up with DJ Nehpets to release their first official mix CD entitled, “The Intro” and they released their second Mix CD with DJ Infamous and DJ Moondawg – Hosted By Ludacris entitled, “From My Block To Yours”. BXC is currently in the studio working on their debut album dropping 2010!

Here we have the making of RubyHornet’s Closed Session for “Helluva Year” featuring Emilio Rojas, Scheme and Astonish.
In case you missed the joint last week, you can download it here.
Gaggie got bars live from his automobile. Picture me rollin.
Here we have the official official remix of Chip Tha Rippers’s incredible “Fat Raps” that features Spitta and Sean from the D. As you know, Chuck Inglish produced the original, and here we have this ridiculous remix from Chi City-producers the Blended Babies.
I was actually in the studio with the Blended Babies yesterday, and was able to hear some of the work they have on deck, and it’s trouble. Be on the lookout for news and details on said songs coming soon…
But for now, check the remix courtesy of the good folks at Slab ENT.
It appears Rhymefest’s long-awaited and also long-delayed sophomore follow up, El Che, has finally received an official release date – May 18th, 2010 – on indie label dNBe Entertainment
This is per one of the executive producers, Shadowkat Nightson.
‘Fest fans can now rejoice. It’s been a long time coming. Check for Che in May.

This is absolutely hilarious.
From the crossover, to the Rent-A-Cop, to the Toonces the Cat-style car scene, to everything. This one’s a winner.
Wait for the twist!
I’ve been hearing about this The Body In The Trunk mixtape for quite some time, and tonight we’ll see it’s proper release. Copies will be distributed to those who attend the release party at Mahoney’s.
The Mayhem crew are easily some of the dopest around and this Produktionix beat is en fuego. Color me excited for this one…
