YP is under the Warren G act on this one.  I’m joking of course.

Here’s the radio rip from Go Ill Radio for YP’s first release off of his mixtape “Next Up” hosted by DJ Sean Mac and DJ Head Debiase. Video: Fabolous + Rosa Acosta + Angela Lola Luv in Chicago

| March 30, 2010 | 23 Comments

Sunday night, a handful of out-of-town celebs touched down in Chicago for various events. Waka Flocka, Cam’Ron, Fabolous and the lovely Rosa Acosta were all in the ‘Go for private parties.

Here P. Noble caught some footage of Fab, Rosa and Lola at Loso’s show at Crobar. Chicagoans such as Cold Hard and the Bishop Don “Magic” Juan were also on hand to celebrate. Cam does not make an appearance in the video, but I guess he was in the building as well.

Video: Kanye West Freestyle From ’02

| March 30, 2010 | 1 Comment

An unreleased video of Kanye freestyling back in 2002. This verse later became “My Girlfriend”, which was his freestyle/track over Jay & Bey’s “Bonnie & Clyde ’03”.  Remember how much people ripped on “Bonnie & Clyde ’03” back then?  It wasn’t so bad in hindsight. Just sayin.

Common – “Testify” (88 Keys Remix)

Rash was trippin’.  This remix is pretty solid.

nation has the details via 88:

I hit up Kanye & asked him if he had the a cappella files for this (which wasn’t out at the time). He gave me the files without hesitation. I turned over this remix rather fast but never finished it because I couldn’t come up with a hook for it. I played it for Kanye & he liked this a lot. So much, in fact, that he was going to reach out to Brandy to lay a hook down on this. Unfortunately, for me, Common didn’t feel this half as much as ‘ye did.
