Banksy Strikes In Chicago

17

A few weeks ago, after the Chicago screening of the incredibly dope Banksy fakeout flick Exit Through The Gift Shop, I was chatting with my homies and expressed my displeasure with Banksy for never breezing through the ‘Go to leave his mark.  I guess I felt the fly-over states were getting flown over by the street art legend.  Well, it looks like my wish came true as Banksy recently – albeit quietly – made a stop in Chicago.

The man, the myth hit this wall on the corner of Peoria & Randolph, with this Untouchables-influenced piece.  Very well done and thought out.  Banksy, you’re back on my A-List.  Now,  how long before Daley destroys this one?

Lol, it is not from The Untouchables.

Well, it is related, but it is because The Untouchables are refering to one of the most classic movie-scenes ever.

It is from the movie Battleship Potemkin

I think you are both right.

This is what makes his art so dope to me….he’s showing us that…. “the bad artists imitate, the great artists steal.” LOL

As someone who’s followed Banksy going on 5 years now I’m very happy to see he’s FINALLY gotten around to dropping some pieces in the Windy City. The “Untouchables” and the “Rat” piece is still intact as of today, but the “You Concrete Me” has been tagged over by some fucktard toys. The locations of “Untouchables” and “You Concrete Me” are public, but from what I’ve researched no one knows where the “Rat” is…….but I do!
