FG has come a very long way since I began really getting in to his music a year or so ago. He went from being a relatively unknown MC on the internets to having his video premiered on MTV and landing on the cover of XXL seemingly overnight. But the fact of the matter is that Gibbs has been hustling, grinding and working his ass off for years, and it was only a matter of time before the world found out what only a select few knew.
Today, The Smoking Section posted the cover art, tracklisting and “thank yous” for both the Str8 Killa EP and his mixtape Str8 Killa No Filla, both which drop in a matter of days. They also have some very kind and inspiring words and is worth a read if you have a few minutes.
I’m proud to say that I’ve seen this happen first hand, and am thrilled that he’ll have this album in stores and on iTunes on August 3rd. I urge all supporters to go out and pick up a few copies – hell, it’s only $8.
So hit the jump to see the rest of artwork, tracklists and production credits for both projects. Also, check the Thank You section – you might even see your name. Some of Chi’s finest are in there.
I’ve been here w/ you Drew to witness all this firsthand, and yes it feels good to see someone work so hard, and accomplish what he set out to do…..
