Trilly & Truly 2010: Basic Info.
Here, Lupe talks about three shirts from the line and what they mean.
Shouts to RSVP Gallery for the vid.
Now if this isn’t an interesting collabo….
Although I’m not super familiar with the Based God, I do find his antics quite hilarious. And that “Jesus” song, too. Here he links with Todd Shaw and Christian Ward for a dedication to having ass on deck. Ayo!
Lil B feat. Yung Berg & Too $hort – Ass On Deck
So Psalm dropped a new mixtape and video today. At least I think they both dropped today. Sometimes those pesky press releases are hard to follow. Either way, check out the video and download the third installment of the Woman @ Work mixtape below.
Last night, L.E.P. warmed up the stage at Freddie Gibbs release party for his Str8 Killa EP at SOBs in NYC. Here, Count and Moonie run through their hometown anthem, Chicago Nz, for the crowd. To hear RapRadar tell it, Count was pouring out Hennessy for the adoring fans. Who says people from the Midwest aren’t friendly?
I also heard Jim Jones and company showed up to support the Bogus Boys set. Looked like a dope show to say the least.
Dubbing yourself the “new Makaveli” is a bold claim for any rapper or artist to make, but the Chosen One believes he’s got what it takes to live up to the comparison. Skooda is currently in the studio working on The New Makaveli EP, which is a dedication to Mr. Shakur that’s slated for a September release. Hopefully he’s able to get the project done by September 13th, which marks the 14th anniversary of Pac’s death. Stay tuned for Skooda’s 7 day theory.
In the mayhem of Tweets, messages and posts on Bun B and Freddie Gibbs albums dropping yesterday, a local artist by the name of Mike Schpitz also dropped an album entitled Stanley Ipkiss: The Year of the Nice Guy. It’s now available on iTunes via Block Starz Music (hey, wasn’t that the label that was illegaly selling Skooda’s “Loungin” on a compilation?). Here’s a dope little promo featuring Nascent and Rob Bates talking about their work on the project.
Ball till you Fall, with Autum on your mind. This smooth, pimpish, playerlistic track, courtesy of Keezo Kane, gives Gangsta L. the perfect backdrop to exercise his G.
This is yet another leak (and my favorite thus far) off his upcoming mixtape, Respect My Come Up Vol. 2: The Ism mixed and hosted by DJ Pharris.
GL’s Love, Life & Loyalty will be dropping this Fall. Get the theme, ya big dummy?
GLC – Autumn On They Mind
A few months ago, a CD featuring a slew of Gaggie songs ended up in the hands of Ludacris, courtesy of Chicago renaissance man, Mike Streetz. Luda checked out the work and one song in particular got his attention – “Grizzly” – which Luda decided he wanted to cuff for himself. Well, the beat at least. So, you know if Luda comes calling you’re gonna have to give up the goods. I mean, who wouldn’t? Well, this track ended up making Luda’s latest album, Battle of the Sexes, and has become a standout track of sorts. And if a placement like that doesn’t raise your profile, I’m not sure what will. Below, for the very first time you can hear Gaggie’s version for yourself and decide which one you like better. Pass the Conjure and Cheers!

Bonus: Ludacris – Feelin’ So Sexy
I’ve got two puuuurrrsss of J. Cole tix to giveaway today, as he’ll be in town this Friday performing live at the Bottom Lounge for Lollapalooza weekend. August 6th to be exact. The doors open at 9pm and it’s a 17+ show. Today, two lucky players will win a pair. All you have to do is answer this question and be the first to respond via Twitter or email with the correct answer and you’ll be singing “Who Dat” until you’re blue in the face.
How many songs is No ID scheduled to produce on J. Cole’s upcoming debut album?
Speaking of Lollapalooza, I don’t even have tickets, so if anyone wants to return the favor and give me a pair it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and good night.
