I was talking with Emmac and Sly Polaroid a few nights ago, and an O.G., fully shrink-wrapped copy of Welcome To Grimmyville Vol. 1, had just popped up in the studio. It was almost like an ancient artifact had just appeared out of thin air. We talked about how most of Bump and the Goon Squad’s classic mixtapes were very hard to find on the internet (some are on sites like DatPiff) and completely out of print everywhere else. If you didn’t have a hard copy in the early-to-mid 00s, then you very well might’ve missed it. This DJ Pharris-hosted project really kicked off the Goon Squad’s triumphant run to the top of Chicago’s hip-hop scene, and shed a whole new light on the City.
In the coming weeks, we’ve got a lot of new material from the good old Goon Squad gang dropping; including Bump J’s first behind bars interview, where Bump and I chat about everything you’ve wanted to know since his incarceration. We also have a brand new Sly Polaroid street album dropping, (my man is totally back – trust that) hosted by DJ MoonDawg; along with an accompanying interview. So yeah, some big things on deck from the Squad. As a warmup, we thought it might be dope to post this disc that was re-discovered the other day. If you missed it, well, now’s your chance to jump down.
Cap goes in over Jeremih’s latest collabo with 50, for a dedication to that good Power U.

As you know, Rockie Fresh’s The Otherside mixtape dropped a few weeks ago, and with that followed a sold out show at Reggie’s featuring Mikey Rocks, Naledge, YP and more.
As you know, Rockie’s mixtape “The Otherside” dropped about two weeks ago. Here is some footage of his sold out release show in Chicago which featured Mikey Rocks of The Cool Kids, Naledge of Kidz In The Hall, Phil Ade, and more. Along with the release show footage link below, is a link to a video interview of Rockie with Jaime Black from Q101 for his Dynasty Podcasts Series (below)
Not the greatest quality, but this video is super cold. Let the Devil worshipping talk begin!
In case you thought T was slowing down after his release of The Perfect Storm, then you need your head examined. He’s dropping three brand new mixtapes, entitled the 3LOGY, all hosted by DJ V-Dub. Here’s the first leak off volume one, which features Twista rolling out the new roster of GMG Entertainment.

D.O.D. Records, under the Free Belo act, offer up a new mixtape featuring some recent Do or Die material for your listening pleasure.
Although this isn’t the official Trunk Music album we’ve been waiting on for the past few years (not sure what happened with Traxster’s planned release), it does include some new joints that the world has yet to hear. Twista, Bun B, Jadakiss, Traxster, Young Buck, C-Bo and Johnny P all make appearances in some capacity, so hit the jump to check it for yourself.
