Here’s a joint of unknown origin from Rhymefest and one of my favorite emcees, Killer Mike. I’m not exactly sure when or where this joint was recorded (or for what project), but I’m guessing it was long before Fest’s bid for rapping Alderman. Mike and Che trade bars while playing the roles of their favorite superheroes, and tossing around some slurs and slanders throughout. It’s a super track.

Ca$his is from the Chi, so it’s only right that this gets some shine. I actually like this joint, but it’s obviously a bit dated. So be it.

Traxster is staying busy these days. In addition to being named one of Billboard’s top producers of the year and striking gold and platinum with Twista and Ludacris, Trax took time to write and record with CPS students at Chalmers Elementary School as part of ASCAP’s America Scores Program. Fox Chicago recently did a full story on this project, which you can watch here. Well, the track has been completed and the video is now ready for viewing above… Trax snapped!

If you haven’t noticed, Scheme is having one helluva year. To express his gratitude, he’s dropping yet another mixtape.
“This mixtape is a token of appreciation to all my fans who have been supporting me with my projects last year and this year. The Manifesto EP, SRNC (Mixtape), SRNC (Deluxe Edition) have been projects that have meant a lot to me, and I appreciate the support from the fans, blogs, sites, producers, writers, columnist, artists and everyone who has given them a listen. Thank you.
The mixtape consists of released, unreleased, and remixed songs. I gave Scend and Stefan Ponce my catalog and they created a mix with what they felt went along with the “Helluva Year” theme. I look at this project as a year-end wrap up for me. I truly had a helluva year.” – Scheme (SRNC x Molemen Records). Sponsored by RH
