I respect holt’s hustle. he’s a dope hypeman and puts chi dudes on regular but he is a HORRIBLE rapper. like awful. his voice always gets drowned by even the softest beats, he doesn’t have great mic presence (though his stage presence is dope) and he isn’t spitting anything that anybody needs to hear. i would say he’s corporate rap (think: mcdonalds needs an urban kid to spit for a commercial or madden needs a bland sounding track) but i don’t even think that’s what he’s shooting for. i wish him continued success (because he’s prolly grinding while I’m bullshitting at work) but whoa, he’s bad.
