Keep on pushin’.
Anytime Bump & Kanye hooked up for a track, something super dope was the end result. 2005’s “Pushaman” was no exception. Featuring a sample of The Impressions’ “Keep On Pushing”, the track grew to become one of my all-time favorites from the Goon Squad frontman. Fast forward a few months later and Bun B.’s solo debut, Trill, has hip-hop junkies everywhere rejoicing. Featuring collaborations with some of the south’s finest, there was one track that stood out to me. Number seven, “Pushin'”, featuring Young Jeezy & Scarface. Mr. Lee flipped the same song ‘Ye used for Bump’s “Pushaman”. Of course, this joint grew to be one of my favorite Bun tracks. Sorry, there’s no crazy back-story as some of you may expect. Just good music from two great artists. Feel free to check ’em out below. Free Bump and R.I.P. Pimp C.
