Last night, Spitta’s Jet Life Tour blew through the Windy City, and had the Metro packed to capacity. Upon entering the venue, I was told by a friend that Wiz Khalifa was in the building. Of course I figured it was hearsay, as why would Wiz just randomly be in the Windy City, but much to my surprise, a few minutes later he took the stage alongside Curren$y. They ran through the “Super High” remix and posed for the crowd for a few minutes, and the place absolutely erupted. No one expected to see that.
Acting like Chicago was his second home, Curren$y then brought out Freddie Gibbs to close the show with “Scottie Pippen” – another unexpected cameo. Look for footage of that coming soon.
Congratulations to Chi-Town’s own C.O. Tha! Bad Black on his record deal with RBC Records (Ice Cube, Yukmouth, E-$0, Tech N9ne) also come out to the House of Blues July 15th 2011 and see C.O. Tha! Bad Black perform with Tech N9ne and the Strange Music Family.
