Twista Speaks On WGCI Billboard
107.5 WGCI put on for the Chi with their latest set of billboards that can be seen throughout the city. Their new “We Run The Chi” campaign features the likenesses of Twista, Jennifer Hudson, R. Kelly, Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco and Common. We caught up with T to get his thoughts on seeing his head on the highway alongside other Chicago greats:
“As long as I’ve been puttin it down for this city, it feels good taking a ride on I-57 near 147th, and seeing this over the expressway. It’s a pleasure to have one of the top stations recognizing the hard work and the grind that I put into my music for this city.”
They could have put Lupe F face up there too..smh

Yeah, I did a double take on that bill board. I ride I-57 every damn day and see Mary, Weezy, Hell Young Money had a whole billboard dedicated. GCI is finally waking the fuck up to the city’s talent cuz NY made Hip Hop, LA made it Gangsta, The South Made it fun, But Chicago Kept it Alive!!!!!!!
