If you didn’t already know, Chicago’s own DJ White Shadow produced a bulk of Lady Gaga’s last album, Born This Way, and has been out touring the world with her over the past few months. Pretty impressive stuff – and something a lot of people around here, especially in hip-hop circles (because he also produces hip-hop), may not know. Check out what he’s been up to in the above interview with Karmaloop.

BJ’s next project, The Life of Love’s Cupid is set to drop in the next few weeks. I know I’m definitely looking forward to it’s release.

Video: Astonish – Shine Like Dilla x Trees

A dual video for two tracks off Astonish’s The Astonishingly ODD Project, which is due out in October on Molemen Records. The album will be available for free download, but you’ll have the option to pay for it if you’d like. It’s hard to believe it’s approaching four years since the release of his last project From Now Until Forever, which dropped in early ’08. Taking four years to release a new album is typically a death sentence for most rappers, but Astonish hasn’t lost a step.
