By now you’ve seen the headlines and read the stories — Kanye West took it back to the good old days of guerilla marketing and hit the streets to premiere his video for “New Slaves.” The DONDA crew took to six cities in sixty six locations (message!) to premiere the clip, including seven spots in the Chi.
Six corners, U of C and the Chicago History Museum all saw the premiere projected in their areas, but probably the most hilarious was the Wrigley Field takeover. Says Bradley Troast who was on hand:
“They rolled up on the sidewalk in front of the Cubs store. Big van draped in black. Slid the door down and projected across the street on to Wrigley.”
Ballsy, no? Check it out for yourself above.
