If you’ve heard Chance’s Acid Rap (and let’s be serious, who hasn’t?), then you surely heard the female vocals on “Lost.” After said project dropped, we received a few inquiries as to who she was, and today we can make a proper introduction.
No Name Gypsy is a 21-year old rapper from the south-side of Chicago. For the past year, No Name has been writing and recording music for her debut mixtape “Telefone” expected to release in late July. With a background in poetry, her music is heavily rooted in descriptive language and meaningful subject matter. Telefone is a culmination of different conversations she’s had over the phone that have impacted who she is as an artist and young adult in Chicago. The tape is meant feel like you’re talking to someone you like on the phone for first time, exploring their likes and dislikes, dreams and aspirations, and their ideas about the world around them.
Got it? Her debut, Telefone, is due out in July. But for now, enjoy the paradise of “Paradise.”
Great Job No Name…. beautiful and enrichening…
I can’t wait to hear the mixtape..
