9. Fredo Santana – Fredo Kruger
[Download]
Critics, fans, tweeters, observers and the media have all but put a stake in the Drill movement. I guess it’s no longer en vogue. But despite many believing the scene is on its last legs, and the output from its marquee acts dwindling, Fredo Santana appeared with his most confident release yet, Fredo Kruger. What Fredo lacks in lyrical dexterity, he more than makes up for with his natural charisma, star power, beat selection and deadpan delivery. Plus he just sounds intimidating.
Fredo made Fredo Kruger a family affair by inviting his GBE la familia to join in on the festivities, also bringing in close associates like Fat Trel and Lil Durk to add their stamp. Kruger solidified Fredo’s spot as being the scariest sight in the cut.
