9. Lil Durk – Signed To The Streets
Durk’s Signed To The Streets caught a few delays, but it was well worth the wait when we got it late this year. The project maintained some of the dark records akin to those we heard on 2012’s Life Ain’t No Joke, but also featured a few of the auto-tune heavy, upbeat tracks people have come to expect from Durk. One of the standouts of the fifteen tracks is the Zaytoven-backed “Who Is This,” which sounds unlike anything else Durk has created to date. Durk continued to elevate and perfect his sound on Signed, and now has his formula down pat. Open that budget Def Jam!
