Last night it felt like all of Chicago was in the United Center (at least everyone from the music and art communities) for the second night’s of Kanye West’s Yeezus tour. The venue was jam packed with adoring fans, Yeezy stans and Chicago industry people, for what many are calling the best concert of the year.
During Kanye’s two-and-a-half-hour set he premiered something new for the attendees. Well, kind of. Instead of his normal rant or stream of consciousness, he gave us a new song we’re calling “MJ Play For The Wizards,” which was a ballad dedicated to his royal highness, Michael Jordan. Looking up at the banners hanging from the rafters, Kanye was inspired to dedicate his stream of consciousness to Mike, and express his displeasure of MJ joining the Wizards. I’m giving it two hours before we start getting submissions of freestyles over this track. No, seriously.
