Wteve Baker is known for pushing the envelope with his visuals. If you remember, his last clip “Tree Haus,”was filmed in his Grandfather’s trailer, just days after he was murdered there. And in his new clip for “Burnt Throat,” Wteve touches on a subject not too popular within hip-hop: substance abuse. Here he documents a recent trip to rehab as well as his struggles with addiction. I’ll let him tell it:
Wteve Baker takes a real life experience and twists the plot into a mind boggling short film with his latest visual, Burnt Throat. From his old drug lifestyle with his Stain Gang friends, to passing out into a lucid dream sequence and THEN waking up in rehab, Burnt Throat really paints the picture of the back story.
Back in October Wteve faced a blunt of what he thought to himself was ‘laced weed’, after getting home and taking a shower he had ended up passing out into his bath tub, where his mother had found him. She called the police and Wteve was then rushed to the hospital. After finding out he had bronchitis, he had admitted himself to rehab for 11 days and has remained sober since, beside an occasional beer or two.
