WGN is reporting that Northfield Police in suburban Chicago are investigating an alleged shooting at the home of Chief Keef (or Chief Reef as they called him) and his manager, Dro. Now, these reports are unconfirmed and appear to be a bit sketchy right now. Another ruse? Or is this something more serious?
Police in Northfield roped off an area around a home in the north suburb as part of a shooting investigation.
The home is on Happ Road.
Police told WGN they are investigating a shooting at a home that may be owned by the manager of rapper Chief Reef.
There are also unconfirmed reports that Chief Keef was renting the home.
Chief Keef , 18, has had several run-ins with the law and has already been convicted of weapons and drug charges.
The North Regional Major Crimes Task Force was also at the scene.
Update: Complex claims Keef is now in custody and someone was, in fact, shot at Keef’s residence:
Chief Keef somehow got mixed up in a shooting early Wednesday AM that put someone in the hospital, TMZ has learned.
We called Keef’s people to determine the extent of the rapper’s involvement — his lawyer tells us Keef wasn’t the shooter … he just happened to be present when shots were fired.
The Northfield PD says the shooting victim is in ICU.
