SBE – Killin’ Shit
Bop’s essence consists in its accessibility. Master the leg swooshing part and the rest is basically up to you. There are tons of no-budget YouTube videos of kids all around Chicago each with their own distinct flavor. It’s rare to see the exact same move twice. One of the best of these is DLow and Kemo’s routine to SBE’s “Killin Shit.” It’s possibly the best example yet of DLow and Kemo’s raw technical abilities to date, as they seamlessly mix flawless bopping with footwork. And the song they’re bopping to is no slouch either. SBE’s “Killin Shit” is a neon streaked rocket ship of momentum, barreling through ecstatic verses into an immediately hooky chorus over a beat made up of multicolored duplo blocks clicking into place. But the best thing about it is how much fun it sounds like SBE is having, each of them grinning up their sleeves through their athletic verses.

If you actually listen to this song, it’s about swimming googles not ski, but hey what dif does it make.
Its a double negative with these songs. Kids wanna hear but they don’t seem to make radio versions (at least I haven’t seen many) and you can’t play them where kids go. (Prom, outdoor fest)
