KC – Bop Then
The down low secret about drill music was that it was always closer to pop music then rap. Certainly it’s got the edge and grime of trap music but drill artists are laser focused on making sure their songs are equipped with million dollar hooks. So the jump from drill to bop is a lot smaller than it first appears. Case in point, KC’s “Bop Then.” It has more in common with dark drill than most of the bright songs on this list, with it’s eerie synth driven beat, but in topic and essence it’s all bop. Plus it highlights one of the best parts about bop. If twerking seems too difficult or risque, bop then!

If you actually listen to this song, it’s about swimming googles not ski, but hey what dif does it make.
Its a double negative with these songs. Kids wanna hear but they don’t seem to make radio versions (at least I haven’t seen many) and you can’t play them where kids go. (Prom, outdoor fest)
