J-Kwest – “Everyday Is My Birthday (Stay True)”

How many rappers do you know that make Birthday songs about themselves? A hot one at that? Featuring cover art? Well, never fear because J-Kwest jumps outside of the box to release “Everyday Is My Birthday” in honor of his 25th born day.

The homie Kwest had to say:

“Praise God for another year. As you know, we’re working hard to makeevery year better than the last, and I want to start by giving yall some new music. Look in the post below, you’ll see a link to a newjoint “Everyday is My Birthday (Stay True)”, which I haven’t gotten clearance from ANYONE to give. So what, it’s my Birthday! I wrote this joint about 24 hours ago. Give you a good idea of where PureMusic is headed.”

Also, check the Fake Shore Drive shoutout midway through the track. Hey, that’s my first name check on a recorded song! Looks like today is my birthday too.

Anyhoo, a big Happy Birthday wish to J-Kwest and thanks to Mr. Evans and the rest of the PureMusic fam for sending over. Much obliged! Have fun tonight.

Late Pass Video: BR Gunna feat. MIck Luter & The Dramatics

Alright, alright – I need a late pass on this one. The duo of Young RJ and Black Milk, formerly known as BR Gunna, dropped this dope video a whiiiile back with a guest shot from FSD favorite, MIck Luter (why didn’t they credit your boy on the track?).

So due to high demand and numerous emails looking for MIck Luter material (I promise some new joints are coming!), I figured I’d take the L and walk out with my head down, late pass in hand, and post this over-a-year-old BR Gunna (Young RJ & Black Milk) track featuring MIck.

Actually, screw that, most of you weren’t even up on this anyway.

Yung Berg: “I Was Just Joking About Flo Rida”

First off, let me start by saying that this is quite possibly the worst-edited radio interview I’ve ever heard in my entire life. I mean, usually these things are pretty seamless, but this sounds like Berg called in during a commercial break and the only person on hand to “cut-and-paste” was the college intern. I guess that’s what you get from a guy by the name of “Incognito Da Yungsta” (sorry).

Moving along, Berg dives into the threats from Cash Money’s Brisco (you know, stemming from the comments on Flo Rida’s hairline – which I found pretty hilarious) and explains it was only a joke – which it obviously was. People are just too uptight these days, aren’t they Berg?
