Shala – “Audacity of Hope”

Friend of FSD and Chicago hip hop luminary, Shala Esquire (from the group Qualo for those that don’t know), has decided to throw his hat in the Obama dedication ring.

The track was inspired by the Obama campaign and Shala was nice enough to send over a live performance of it.

Speaking of Shala, his track “I Ain’t Goin” which was featured on the release of his latest mixtape, Immortal Movement Radio Vol. 2 (download for free here), is picking up some serious steam around the city, and I definitely give it the big cosign. I’m going to eventually post the track here, but for now check the mixtape for it.

TeeJay – “Hard To Find”

Chicago’s very-own, TeeJay a.k.a. Mr. Windy City, hit us with his latest single, “Hard To Find”, which is currently in rotation on 10+ major radio stations.  Definitely look out for this guy, he’s been making some noise as of late.  The track was produced by Xcel.
Managed by Cudda Love (of Biggie, Mase, Nelly, St. Lunatics fame), you may remember TeeJay from his track “Mr. Windy City” which was the #1 most requested song on WGCI and moved around 15,000 units independently.   He also remixed Monica’s “So Gone” which quickly became a #1 hit in the city as well – receiving spins on WGCI and Power 92.

Classic Video: No ID & Dug Infinite – “Sky’s The Limit”

So the other night I was talking to Prolyfic about how we couldn’t find this video ANYWHERE and that it was a shame it wasn’t available on Youtube.   Well sure enough, Pro found it sometime this morning and it appears to have been upped just a few days ago.  Thanks to VintageHipHopSeattle – wherever you are.
