Chuck Inglish, b.k.a. one half of The Cool Kids, is set to finally drop his proper debut solo album, Convertibles, this coming Tuesday (April 8th.) Here, Chuck sat down with Revolt to talk about the recording process, and how the project took three long years to come together. Glad it’s finally hitting the shelves.
Convertibles is currently available for streaming purposes now (listen here), but be sure to support this Tuesday.
Chuck Inglish’s Convertibles LP doesn’t hit stores and digital retailers April 8th, but you can stream the entire album on Spotify now ahead of time. The retail version of Convertibles includes a brand new record, titled “H.M.U.”, which wasn’t featured on the version of the album that recently hit the faucet.
After giving the album a few listens, this new joint is definitely one of my favorites. Stream “H.M.U.” below via Spotify and be sure to grab Convertibles once it hits stores April 8th.
Yesterday, Chuck Inglish launched a Big Cartel page and unveiled his new line of merchandise. The line features pieces influenced by Chuck’s style as well as The Cool Kids. New music from Chuck Inglish is the perfect way to start the day and that’s just what we have today, thanks to Pitchfork. “Legs” is the latest single from Chuck’s upcoming Convertibles LP and features electro-funk duo Chromeo.

That’s right — The Cool Kids are back. After a brief hiatus, Chuck and Sir Mike are working on a brand new album for 2014. Chuck let the news fly via Twitter a few days ago and even revealed the title of the duo’s new project – Shark Week.
No word on when we can expect the album to drop, but it would be pretty cool if it actually dropped during shark week. We’re just glad that new music from Chuck and Mike is on the way. Stay tuned for more info.
While recording at Truth Studios, Chuck Inglish and Ash Roth decide to cook up a quick visual for “For The Love”. If you haven’t heard Chuck’s Droptops EP yet, do yourself a favor and grab it here.
Don’t forget — Chuck’s new album, Convertibles, is due out next year.
Chicago beatsmiths The Blended Babies just launched their own label, Blended Babies Music Group, and decided to release this brand new single in honor of it. Chuck Inglish and Ash Roth take on a smooth beat with an equally smooth sample.
Stream/download “See The World” below, thanks to ‘Plex.
Produced by SMKA.
Producers SMKA connect with Chuck Inglish and the artists formerly known as Rock City for “All Night All Day”, the latest release from their forthcoming project titled The Hangover. Damn, this is dope.
Don’t forget — Chuck’s Easily EP is available on iTunes now. SMKA’s The Hangover, presented by Revolt TV and A3C, is due out soon.
Hands down, one of my favorite songs of 2013 is the reunion of Chuck Inglish and Sir Michael on “Swervin.” The beat takes it back to that traditional Cool Kids sound, and featured Mike and Chuck at their very best. I kept it on repeat for weeks, and today we get some behind the scenes footage of Sir Charles crafting the beat at Truth Studios. If you somehow missed the song, I suggest you grab it here.
Be sure to purchase Chuck’s new EP which dropped earlier today on iTunes.
