Pitchfork Media reports that Kid Sister has officially signed a deal with Downtown Records, the recording home of Mos Def, Gnarls Barkley and Spank Rock.
I bet you’re thinking “Hey, what happened to her deal with Fools Gold”, the label run by her boyfriend and Kanye West’s DJ, A-Trak. Well, they’re still involved to some capacity:
“They’re still involved as far as packaging goes, and A&Ring the project. Everything we worked on before we will continue to work on with a little bit of help! Put a little proton pack on our backs for a little bit of a boost!”
Look for her debut album, Koko B. Ware, to drop sometime this summer.
