If you read the interview I did with Mikkey a month or so ago, you obviously caught the portion where he touched on his days at Cash Money, and how Baby and Slim offered both he and Kanye deals at the same time.
As the story goes, Kanye flew down to New Orleans to meet with the powers that be at Cash Money Records. They were interested in some production from Kanye, but Baby kept asking about his partner Mikkey from Chicago. Well, Kanye played him this track and the rest is history.
