Longshot Wins Jake One Contest

Posted on November 25, 2008 by Andrew Barber

You may remember a few days ago when I did a post about Longshot making the finals for Rhymesayers Jake One contest.  The contestant who could rip an instrumental from Jake’s White Van Music the best, would win a beat from Jake, a session with Jake and a single deal with Rhymesayers.  Well, the good news is Chicago emcee Longshot smashed the competition, and won the battle.  He wanted to thank all of the FSD readers who took time out of their day to vote for him:

What up Chicago and FSD, it’s Longshot and if you don’t know already I was the winner in the Rhymesayers/Jake One single deal contest and I jus wanted to extend my a sincere and humble thank you to the whole city of Chicago and all who voted and much gratitude for FSD for posting the link and supporting…This is a big opportunity for me and it’s extra special knowing I have my city backing me the whole rip… I did the song wit Pugs: “Please don’t call us Haterville!” Thank you all again…I will never let ya’ll down!! Much respect 2 all Chicago artists doing they thang, and please keep supporting good music…Shot

ps- I’m recording my first live album with a six piece band behind me this Wed. Nov.26th @Morseland 1218 Morse $5…holla

A big congrats to Longshot for his hard work.
