Common – “Punch Drunk Love”
Well the good news is that people came through for me in a major way when I sent out a call of distress for those tickets to the secret Common/NBC.com show on Friday evening. A big thanks to Christi with an Eye, who really outdid herself, as well as Ed Honestly and Reza at Interscope/Geffen. Much appreciated.
Anyhoo, the event was held in an old warehouse over in the Ukranian Village area, which overlooked the city. NBC.com was nice enough to provide free food and Hennessy provided the free licka. THE Twilite Tone opened up for the crowd of about 300 people and killed it per usual.
I snatched some footage from Com’s performance which you can check out above and below. And I still don’t think there are many rappers who can even come close to touching Com’s live set. I’m just sayin’.
