The voice of choice has spoken and the people have selected The Legendary Traxster as the Top Chicago Producer of 2008 in this weeks poll.
As usual, the poll sparked quite a bit of controversy from all angles, where I fielded many emails, phone calls and comments, so you can consider this the very last poll I’m ever going to hold. It was fun while it lasted.
Anyhoo, Traxster topped the poll with 235 votes, with Kanye West closely trailing him with 219 votes. A rather close battle, as you can see. In 2008, Traxster released his solo album, Return of Gangsta Music, as well as a handful of CWAL Mob compilations, which no doubt, helped solidify his win.
Thanks to all 1230 people who participated in the poll and a big congratulations is in order for Traxster, who is a true Chicago hip hop pioneer and music legend. Also, I was thinking, maybe we could get a Legendary Traxster x Mick Luter collabo and release it here on FSD? Just a thought.
