Last night the good folks at Sprite Green and Common Ground Marketing threw a helluva party/event/concert (whatever you want to call it) at the River East Arts Center in Chicago. The event was hosted by Dave Jeff and featured an incredible DJ set from Jay iLLa (this man plays a lot of Chicago music!), some spoken word, a small performance from Juice and the headliners for the evening, De La Soul. Mase a.k.a. Maseo a.k.a. Plug Three was unable to make it out to the Chi, so De La recruited Timbuck2 to guest-spin their set, and he also tore the house down.
There was also an open bar, I might add. Sprite Green really knows how to get down.
