Lost Mikkey Halsted Interview/Freestyle from 2002

Posted on May 29, 2009 by Andrew Barber

Now this is a piece of history right here –  uncovered by none other than the Vault King himself, Mike Love.

This was an interview Mikkey did on Bad Boy Radio back in 2002, prior to his never-released Cash Money debut, Tears & Pain.  Here Mikk announces that the album is scheduled to drop on August 5th, 2002.  Mannie Fresh, Jazze Pha, Kanye West, No ID and the Trendsetters were all scheduled to produce on the album (I have a handful of these tracks, actually).  Mikk also talks about his Uncrowned City label, his Cash Money album appearances (Big Tymers, Mack 10, Juvenile and Turk) and then closes out with a freestyle over G-Dep’s “Special Delivery”.

It’s actually a blessing that Tears & Pain never came out.  Chicago: The Photo Album > Tears & Pain
