Facing some stiff competition including heavyweight titles like Iron Man 2 and Robin Hood, Just Wright was able to debut in fourth place for the weekend box office titles for May 14-16.
Fox Searchlight’s urban-oriented romantic comedy “Just Wight” — starring Pam Grier, Common and Queen Latifah – debuted in fourth with $8.5 million.
“Wright” audiences were dominated by African-American moviegoers and comprised 67% of females with 71% of patrons aged 25 or older.
