Sly Polaroid, Juice, Bump J, Mic Terror, L.E.P. Bogus Boys, YP, Mikkey Halsted, Marvo & Twone Gabz – Where Ya From

Posted on June 22, 2010 by Andrew Barber

*Title reads in order of appearance

Remember this track?  The Chicago All-Star posse cut, “Where Ya From”, featuring 10 of the Go’s finest on one track?  The 8-minute ode where each emcee goes bar for bar and tries to outshine the next?  Yeah, that one.  It was serviced to radio back in early January, but then it kind of came and went without a trace.  Well, I’m here to resurrect thee.  Dame Kash and the Associates put this track together, but never gave it the internet treatment.  And, I know a lot of people didn’t get to hear it, especially those outside of Chicago as Chicago radio was really it’s only home.

Sly P, Juice, Bumpy Johnson, Mic T, Count, Moonie, YP, Mikkey Halsted, Vo and Twone Gabz all take turns on this one.  Here it is for your listening/download pleasure.

There’s a lot of solid lines on this joint, but my favorite comes courtesy of Juice who spits:  “I’ma sell more CDs than Nelly did, plus I got more 16s than Kelly’s crib”
