Twista – Hustlaz (Prod. by Kanye West) [Tags]

Posted on September 10, 2010 by Andrew Barber

CHI ROC

“This for my hustlaz, killers, murderers, drug dealers, a city of pimps, pushers, ballers and blood spillers”

You already know who this one is for.  Two Chi-Town legends get back together for “Hustlaz”, one of many Twista and Kanye collabs you’ve yet to hear.  It didn’t begin or end with “Slow Jamz” or “Overnight Celebrity”, no, no, no.

V-Dub got his hands on this one for his Laws & Policies Vol. 1 mixtape, which drops this Fall.  You can’t be mad for V for tagging this one up – this is a big record right here.  Honestly, I can’t name a wack collabo from Twista and Kanye.  For whatever reason these two have chemistry like no other (well, besides Trax and Twist, of course), that’s been proven time and time again.  Check it out for yourself after the jump…

Shouts to V-Dub, Boogz and Rawle!

If Twista only rapped like this more often. This reminds me of the “Resurrection” Twista. And this was a low key Kanye beat, good look. BUT, I could have done without V-Dub masturbating all over the track… no other way to describe it. I wish the music industry would have left that mixtape shit to the East Coast… that used to soley be a East Cost thing; screaming the dj name on a track. Back in the day… before we even called it jukin’, when you heard of a mixtape in Chicago you were specifically talking about house music to footwork to… like DJ Funk, Waxmaster, Jammin’ Gerald, DJ Dman etc… we had a whole diffferent flavor of mixtapes. Fuck them tags… just proves how arrogant dj’s have got over the years… dj’s and producers alike have caught the syndrome… look at Traxster, That’s a thirsty ass way to try to get your name out there. I fuck with the song though… BUT it’s a reason this shit is on none of his albums… and the reason why Fat Joe will do better numbers than Twista.

This track super sick & I agree it sounds a lot like Twista “Resurrection” sound! Would have never thought it was a Ye production had you not mentioned it & only problem I have with it’s the tags! V-Dub’s tags usually aren’t this annoying too!
