Crucial Conflict – Finally Let In Chicago Terror

Posted on October 15, 2010 by Andrew Barber

A few weeks ago, I told you about Jaycee, a friend of FSD who I was going to be partnering with to release some strictly-Chi projects.  Our first collabo was the PsychoDrama – The Suave House Years album and now we’re ready to unleash the second installment…Crucial Conflict’s Finally Let In Chicago Terror.

I’ll let Jaycee explain:

Fake Shore Drive and Jaycee team up again with their latest Crucial Conflict project. Chicago residents along with the rest of the world have been listening to and smokin’ on hay with these brothers since the mid ’90’s. It is safe to say Crucial Conflict are legends in Chicago and hold a pivitol position in Chicago hip hop.

While fans have not heard much new material over tha past years from these brothers, their presence is forever present. This album is a dedication to Crucial Conflict and the work they have contributed to the industry for over a decade. Download the album, roll through the city streets, and rest assure, we have Finally Let In Chicago Terror.

On some real shit, Crucial Conflict has accomplished what no other Chicago entertainer with international exposure has ever done. What is that you ask? Crucial Conflict is the only music group/entertainers from Chicago who were able to stay in Chicago… and not just Chicago, Out West…in the hood. Twista ain’t in K-town, Common, Kanye, kells, Lupe… forget about it. Even Bump had a spot in the south loop. It is literally dangerouse for celebrities and their families to stay in Chicago after their national/international success; Crucial Conflict is the model for doing what none other have succeded to do. Hell, back in the day I even seen ColdHard on Chicago Ave. at the “discount mall” buying clothes from the same spot I was, and I seen Wildstyle on Pulaski and Chicago Ave at that resturant… in the height of their success at that time. Knowing Chicago, you know people on the block knew where their houses were, and knew they had gold albums and videos, and features on soundtracks… these brothers ain’t budge. A true model of how to keep it Chicago 100%… for all those artists who claim to keep it Chicago with east coast producers n shit, you could learn a thang or two from the Flict. Salute these brothers… Real Chicago Pioneers….
