GLG alongside Dae Dae and Zzaje of the Trailblazerz MPC bang out “The Light”, which will serve as the second single off Love, Life & Loyalty, which drops tomorrow.
“The Light” is a special song because GLC was able to get Manfred Mann to clear the sample as well as cut new vocals for the track – which technically brings him out of retirement. This is also the first time Manfred has cleared said sample for a hip-hop song. Pretty cool stuff.
In the clip above you can see the track coming to life at CRC and Soundscape Studios. Hey, they even got some real life musicians to get down.
Also, a video was shot quite some time ago, so look for that to follow at some point in the near future. Don’t be a lame and forget to pick up the album tomorrow.
