First of all, I fuck with this all day long. I understand that this style of Mikkey will appeal more to the broader audience, but its still too hard for people to grasp. What I do want from Mikk though, something he kinda got away from, and something that drew my initial attention to him, his political/black empowerment/awareness/consciousness rap. We need that black power music, and I hope he doesn’t stray too far away (although he does it well) from his original material from years back… then again, the public don’t want to hear that real REAL shit, well, let me correct myself, the government don’t want to hear that real REAL shit. West Side fuck wit you joe!

Okay, I’m confused. This is the excat beat on “Red West” from MICK LUTER’s album The Word released in the early 2000’s. If you haven’t heard that song, it is HEAT! Okay, I’ve heard No ID’s name in 2 hooks from top notch artists playing on the radio right now……he didn’t have one new beat to give this dude?! I swear Chicago is a bucket full of crabs!!!! Mick Luter killed this beat almost a decade ago. Whatever happened to giving people their props. That is some clown shit!

Yeah it most likely was a non-exclusive rights agreement. That’s the gift and the curse of leasing a beat:

Gift – you don’t pay as much for a beat

Curse – you don’t own the rights to the beat so after a certain amount of time, it goes back on the market.

Thanx for all the luv on the song. For the person that said I stole Mick Luter’s beat. Lol. I fuck with mick as a mc and a person and wouldn’t steal from him or anyone else and I have never heard Micks album from 2002 and doubt that He paid for it. No ID is the owner of the beat and I’ve had it for years. I had a concept for “exorcist” and went the old and new No ID tracks to match the concept. This beat matched the best and I payed it. How does that make me a thief and how does that hurt Mick???? If anything people might go find his version and buy it. Wouldn’t that help him? Unless u are saying I bit his song concept or flow??? R u?

Btw. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Me and No ID got a gang ill ass records some beats as brand new as last week so me and him good. He’s always held me down.

I had the same beat on cd (still do) and I use to just listen to it cause of how dope it was. Niggas just trying to find a way to throw salt. Mikk and NO I got a solid relationship as far as the music go so Im sure them niggas know exactly what their doing and Im sure Luter understands and they all have solid relationships as far as the situation goes, so stop reaching goofy ass niggas.
