The Legendary Traxster to Write & Record with Inner City School Kids

Posted on November 19, 2010 by Ty Howard

Now, that’s what I call reaching the youth.

The Legendary Traxster has enrolled in ASCAP’s Songwriter Residency program & plans to work with the kids at Chalmers Elementary to record a song for a special compilation project that ASCAP produces.

ASCAP:

ASCAP (the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) and America SCORES are pleased to announce that Grammy-nominated songwriter/producer The Legendary Traxster has enrolled in ASCAP Songwriter Residency @ America SCORES, a national songwriting mentorship program that gives ASCAP songwriters and composers a platform to give back to their local communities by engaging and inspiring inner city school kids through songwriting and recording.

A big salute to Traxster for this one. It’s always to good hear about Chicago’s own doing things to help the youth & community.
