For the past few weeks, people wondered if Lil Wayne’s scheduled NYE appearance/performance at Adrianna’s in the South Burbs was actual facts. Was Weezy F going to show? In what capacity? Once the Dipset (Cam, Jimmy and Juelz) were added to the bill, the interest reached fever pitch.
Rumors begin to swirl last night that Wayne wasn’t going to show, because he was featured on both 106 & Park and NBC’s NYE programs. The truth of the matter was that both of these performances were previously recorded, and Wayne, was in fact, in Chicago. Here we have some footage of Wayne and the Birdman on location at Adrianna’s ringing in the New Year. I hear Wayne even lead the New Year countdown. Fortunately, the event went out without a hitch and no violence or fights took place. Now that’s a Happy New Year.
