Kanye Signs Nigerian Act To G.O.O.D. Music?

Posted on June 9, 2011 by Andrew Barber

After Kanye’s righthand man Virgil Abloh tweeted that G.O.O.D. Music had signed another artist on Tuesday night, it was only a matter of time before the case was cracked on who the artist was.  All signs point to Nigerian label Mo’Hits, whose flagship artist D’Banj took to Twitter to confirm the speculation:

Just like yesterday myself and my brother did Tongolo. 7yrs later Mo’ Hits signs with Good Music. Best birthday gift ever. God thank u

So it appears the deal was more than just an artist signing, it was a label partnership.  Obviously details are a little sketchy at the moment, and I’ve obviously never heard of Mo’Hits, so it should be interesting to see what happens here.

Big shouts to Grand Cru Mgmt. & Blink

Kanye is a visionary on so many levels, this shows he is an artist that appreciates hot music across the globe! D’banj’s “Fall In Love” is a banger!
