Last night, Big Sean held a listening session in NYC for his debut album Finally Famous; and the event was star-studded to say the least. Most of the G.O.O.D. Music fam was in the building, including Kanye West who not only praised Sean, but also spent a good amount of time talking about No I.D., who produced 9 of the 16 cuts on the album. Kanye gushed about No I.D’s. contributions to hip-hop (and Chicago hip-hop) and thanked him for giving guidance and protection over the years (specifically – from the 4 Corner Hustlers).
The often heard, but rarely seen No I.D. took to the mic after Kanye reflected, and dropped quite a bit of knowledge for the crowd, including how he’s remained relevant in the industry for almost 20 years and what his legacy has become. Some good game for free, courtesy of two Chicago greats.
