“Kush so fye, I’m high, Gheorghe Mureşan”
I’m literally LOLing right now. Just last night, after posting a track named after former NBA star (!) Tony Kukoc, I put out a feeler, requesting that a local artist record a song dedicated to the most ridiculous NBA player of all time (imo), Gheorghe Mureşan.
Alert: Chicago rappers naming songs after NBA players is officially a trend. Trendwatch over. What, with“Dwight Howard,” “Delonte West,” and now “Tony Kukoc” hitting the site, it’s a craze. I can’t lie, though, I won’t be satisfied until someone records a “Gheorghe Mureșan.” And samples this.
Well today, Jay Hen Gwoppa rose to the occasion. Although he didn’t sample the famed Snickers commercial in question, he did craft a solid song with a dope hook dedicated to the star of My Giant.
It’s been quite the week already, and it’s only Tuesday.
