Disrespectful Radio – Episode 14 w/ The Legendary Traxster

Posted on July 25, 2012 by Andrew Barber

On episode 14, we sit down with a Chicago hip-hop pioneer by the name of The Legendary Traxster. Yeah, you might’ve heard of him. Trax gives us a run down of his career, as well as walks us through the early days of Chicago hip-hop. We talk about the Illstate Assassins, Operation Push’s early impact on Chi rap, Do or Die and “Po Pimp,” Rap-A-Lot, Twista’s Adrenaline Rush, fighting Naughty By Nature with cattle prods and much more. This here is a classic episode, and history lesson.

Now, we had so much to talk about we ran out of time, so we’re definitely doing a part two (we only got to the late 90s) with. If you’re interested in watching the video, you can catch that below the cut. Hit the jump to listen.
