By the time Big K.R.I.T. took the stage last night at the Pitchfork Music Fest, the rain had blown through, and the sun was shining bright. K.R.I.T.’s always been an excellent performer, whether he’s playing for 100 people or 10,000 — he always give it his all. Energetic, passionate and calculated. Yesterday he was incredibly amped, though, no doubt excited to play for the massive Pitchfork crowd.

K.R.I.T.’s catalog is insanely big for someone who’s only been around for a few years, and he dug deep into it, performing tracks from each and every one of his projects. Much of the first five rows knew every word to his records, and “Sookie” (which you can see above) was an obvious stand-out.

Hip-Hop returns to Pitchfork on day two as Danny Brown and Schoolboy Q both take the stage today at 7:40 and 5:45, respectively. Be sure to hit Union Park around 1pm. Look for more coverage later today.
