FSD Beats sets out to build awareness of Chicago’s top up-and-coming producers — something we have an abundance of. No need to seek other cities for your sound, we have the cream of the crop right here.

We’ll be offering up new instrumentals from rising producers weekly — free of charge — for you to rock over (and so you’ll stop rapping over “Hail Mary”). If you like what you hear, please reach out to the beatsmiths to inquire about how you can work with them in the future. Got it? Utilization is key.

Hailing from London Towne on Chicago’s far south side, the same hood that bred legendary Chicago Heavyhitter DJ Pharris, HUNNID says hes always grown up admiring the musical trendsetters of the city. Now, with his own sound and his Chi Embassy imprint spreading throughout the world, he’s on his way to becoming one of those trendsetters himself.

Beginning his journey into the business side of urban music was natural, following in the footsteps of uncle Shady Brady, who worked as the top Midwest regional promoter for several major labels, breaking records for artists like Hammer, Jodeci and Mary J. Blige among others.

HUNNID’s mixtape  release, Fastlane, was mixed by DJ Nehpets (Power 92) featuring the self-produced title track Fastlane, two street approved anthems, Get Paid and Street Code both featuring Chi Em co-founders GS and Yatti Man, and Been Around tha Hood, produced by Dipset/Senate affiliated beatsmiths the TuneRaiders. In addition,  HUNNID was the driving force behind the underground duo Elocution, which paired him with 106&Park alum Freemont Jackson, concocting and producing most of their 5 releases (Brainwaves & Freestyles Vol. 1-3, 79-Hunnid, and The Mighty), and has racked up countless promotional and mixtape appearances such as Soul of the City: Vol. 1-3, DJ Jay iLLa’s Revenge of the Backpackers 2, the widely received Loyalty, DJ RBS mixtape Quit Hatin The South Vol. 5 among many others.

HUNNID is also a published writer, who has written for online sites such as Hiphopdx.com and Tasteofthego.com. Check out his free download below.
