Dropping tomorrow. Valentines Day. This is the first look from Naledge’s upcoming mixtape, Brain Power. I got an early listen of “Life In A Corona,” and it’s very nice. Staring down the barrel of a bottle — you get the idea.
In other Naledge news, the Brainiac boss is currently the executive producer of the movie soundtrack for Smile: The Documentary. The documentary showcases the director, Arnez Newton’s rise from the Washington Park area of Chicago living in public housing to going to an Ivy League school, to taking a job on Wall Street, which he eventually left to become an elementary school teacher in the same neighborhood where he was raised. The movie also chronicles dealing with the day to day struggle and strife in some of the most violent neighborhoods in the city.
